The Beginners’ Guide to Haircare Bars

Curious about solid shampoo and conditioner bars? You’ve come to the right place and we’re glad to have you here. Scroll down to find out more about our solid shampoo and conditioner bars.

But first, what are haircare bars?

A haircare bar is a solid, bar-shaped hair product that is used for cleaning, conditioning, or styling hair. A solid bar provides the same functions as a traditional liquid haircare product but comes in a solid form.

Solid haircare products are often more concentrated, which means they last longer and produce less waste as well as supporting a higher percentage of active ingredients than their liquid counterparts.

They are usually made with natural and eco-friendly ingredients and are packaged in recyclable or compostable materials, which makes them a more sustainable alternative to traditional haircare products which often come in plastic bottles.

About Sidr Oil & Powder

Extracted from the leaves and fruit of the Sidr Tree (Ziziphus jujuba), the oil extract and the powdered dried leaves have traditionally been used in the Middle East for centuries as a shampoo to clean and condition the hair. Clinical trials have shown its effectiveness in promoting hair growth by reducing dandruff and soothing itchy scalps. The oil and powder have anti microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. About Apiscalp™

About Argan Oil

This naturally occurring plant oil is derived from the kernels of the fruit of the argan tree. It is a rich source of Vitamin E essential for healthy hair. The nutritional profile may reduce split ends and other types of hair damage.

About Cocoa Butter

A type of fat that comes from cocoa beans. When combined with a vitamin E-rich Argan oil it provides super moisturizing qualities for hair. It helps repair dry and damaged hair and prevents further damage by adding lubrication to the strands and reducing breakage. Cocoa butter adds strength by penetrating the hair structure and sealing the cuticles, locking in water and nutrients, and fortifying the hair.

About Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is often said to be the best oil to use on your hair to reduce protein loss, which prevents hair from looking and feeling damaged. The lauric acid in coconut oil helps it easily attach to the hair shaft, leaving you with glossy, healthy-looking hair.

About Essential Oils

Lavender has proven antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. Sweet Orange is not only an effective antioxidant, but it can help to reduce inflammation too. Tea Tree has remarkable, scientifically backed, properties antioxidant, antibacterial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory – that help to soothe and calm irritated scalps. Lemongrass is a popular oil to relieve stress, anxiety, and depression, but it’s for its antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, and anti inflammatory properties that we use in our bars.
